Run the Wall event happening in St Catharines.

Run the Wall event is in solidarity with those in Bethlehem running to call an end to the oppression faced by Palestinians and call for freedom of Movement. The Wall is symbolic of separation and  one of the many ways Palestinians are prevented from moving freely in their own land.

Palestine needs more than sympathy — it needs action. Join in calling for::

  • an end to all weapons coming from Canada that are used in Israel
  • sanctions and accountability for war crimes,
  • end Israeli apartheid regime
  • implementation of international law, including ICC and ICJ rulings.
  • Sign petitions, contact your MP, join delegations and keep sustained pressure on those in power.;

Why your voice matters – It has become clear that justice will not come from those in seats of power; from our governments. What is needed is a grassroots non-violent revolution with all who are for human rights and international law; where the humanity of all are valued. “Liberation is not a gift we wait for — it’s a right we demand together.” Stephen Kappos, Holocaust survivor and Palestine advocate.

The genocide continues also in the West Bank. (See our events page. for an upcoming webinar about the West Bank.) To forcefully remove people is against International Law but it seems Israel and the US can do what they will. Will truth and justice win out? It is clear that it will not come from seats of power but it is up to us – the grassroots.

1. PRESSURE YOUR GOVERNMENT TO IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL, INCLUDING A COMPREHENSIVE MILITARY EMBARGO.
2. TAKE TO THE STREETS TO PRESSURE GOVERNMENTS TO END COMPLICITY. .
3. SUPPORT THE BOYCOTT, DIVESTMENT AND SANCTIONS (BDS) MOVEMENT.
4. DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF APARTHEID ISRAEL FROM THE UN. 

Many of the injustices committed against Palestinians combine the use of night arrests and military prisons to traumatize children most of all.  Obaida Jawabra, the subject of a film by Defence for Children, Palestine, was shot and killed by Israeli forces.) We need people committed to writing letters to our MPs and help end the military detention of children.
